If you didn’t grow up reading Robert McCloskey – I’m sorry to hear that. Blueberries for Sal, One Morning in Maine, Homer Price, Make Way for Ducklings – all staples from my childhood. Children’s literature is one of my favorite things in the whole world. It’s full of such wonder, hope, creativity, and now, nostalgia. This room is specifically inspired by Make Way for Ducklings, a story focused on a family of ducks raising their ducklings in the Boston Public Garden. The lack of blue (water) is slightly on purpose. Here’s my take on a room influenced by The Mallards:

fun finds – January

hrifting/antiquing. I genuinely get a thrill from finding something I just HAVE to have, even if it means nothing to anyone else. Although we’re not at the decorating phase of working on our house yet, a girl can still shop.

An overdue renovation update and a happy new year!

It’s been a teeny bit over two months since we closed on our house and since then we’ve done a lot of changes. I thought it necessary to document some of the progress that’s happened over here since we moved in a few weeks ago.
