current wish list – February

This month I’ve been doing quite a bit of shopping to prep for my March Hawaii trip that’s coming up in a couple weeks. Most of my purchases this month have been clothing related but I still have a few more items I’d like to add to our life at some point. Here’s what’s on my list.. better late then never!

We’ve been sleeping on a mattress on the floor since September because I CAN’T make up my mind on what bed frame to purchase! I’m really leaning towards this one from pottery barn because I can do a green guard certified fabric.

I’ve been trying to take more yoga classes this year to improve my mental health and flexibility. I am really into stirrup leggings right now. These ones from Carbon38 are my next workout purchase for sure!

I’m definitely going through a jewelry phase and loving it. I would really like to add some more statement earrings to my collection. I feel like my outfits are typically quite simple and it would be fun to play around with some funkier pieces to make them more unique and interesting. These are Mondo Mondo and I’m looooooving them.

I’m always tossing on my husband’s crocs when I need to quickly run outside or pop down to the basement and I’d like to find my own slip on shoe that isn’t a sandal or slipper. These are Chillbies and I think it’s time for me to stop borrowing crocs.

We’ve been cleaning our house with vinegar and baking soda for a while – which don’t get me wrong, is great, but I would really like to expand the non-toxic scent options. I’ve heard really good things about Koala Eco and I’d love to get my hands on some of their products to test out!

It’s officially time for me to replace my very old yoga mat. I’ve been using the same one for years and while it’s not completely ruined – I would really like something heavier that doesn’t slide around as much. Loving this one from Alo.

I really hate the look and feel of furniture that looks like it could blow over in the wind. It’s a delicate balance though to try and have everything chunky and weighted – there’s no juxtaposition. That being said – I’m currently on the hunt for a side table for our living room that is airy but still has weight to it. I found this side table from France and Son and I think I’m sold! I love how it feels chunky and sturdy at the same time as being open and interesting. I wasn’t sure about the geometric pattern on the top at first, but it’s growing on me. Would make a great nightstand too!

When it comes to kitchen items – I’m extremely picky. I really want everything to be attractive and to be great quality. We’ve been on the hunt for a large serving spoon for a while and I’ve admired this one from a local shop here in Maine for a while – I think it’s time to purchase. I’ll just have to decide what color..

I’ll never turn down a new ring. They’re one of my favorite pieces of jewelry to collect. Right now I’m really wanting something sparkly and consistent on my right hand. I thought at some point I might add a full emerald band to my wedding stack but my heart is really saying diamonds. Either way – I’d love to incorporate something with emeralds into my jewlery box! This one is from Kinn.

Hope you have a great week!

fun finds – January

hrifting/antiquing. I genuinely get a thrill from finding something I just HAVE to have, even if it means nothing to anyone else. Although we’re not at the decorating phase of working on our house yet, a girl can still shop.

An overdue renovation update and a happy new year!

It’s been a teeny bit over two months since we closed on our house and since then we’ve done a lot of changes. I thought it necessary to document some of the progress that’s happened over here since we moved in a few weeks ago.

We bought a house!

There have been so many lessons along the way to get to where we are now but we finally OWN a house. First thing we did after we closed? Started ripping down cabinets and taking doors off hinges. I couldn’t wait a single second more to start making this place ours. It’s going to be…
