One of my all time favorite activities is spending time at a thrift or antique store. Last weekend, there were some scores. I’m still waiting for the weather to be warm enough for some outdoor flea markets but for now, I’m happy to hit my favorites indoor spots. If anyone is looking for antiquing advice, I would say, don’t have any regrets. Buy the item. Make the impulsive decision. It’s always worth it. Here’s what came home with us this weekend:

This bag wasn’t getting left behind. I’m such a sucker for anything woven!

I found two of these perfect marble candle holders. They’re really heavy and more green in person. I adore them.

I probably should have waited to take a photo of this lamp when it wasn’t pouring rain outside but honestly, just as beautiful on a gloomy day! Not all crystal lamps are created equal and something about the ball in the middle of this made my jaw drop. Eventually it will be on a better suiting nightstand or side table, but for now, she’ll be a guest room delight even if the table isn’t a match.

This might be showing my preppy side a little too well. Best to keep this short. It was cute and inexpensive. I can’t help myself. The end.

Two lamps? Yes, two lamps. I am on a lamp and lampshade rampage. Finding a good lampshade is incredibly hard BTW. I loved how regal this lamp felt. I need to find a replacement harp and the right shade – appreciating the beauty as-is for now though.

My husband actually discovered this piece of art. While I wouldn’t say my favorite kind of art includes figures, something about this man was intriguing. We were specifically on the hunt for art at this antique store and lucked out. His home on a wall is still to be found.

We’ve desperately needed a spoon rest in the kitchen but I was holding off on purchasing the classic version because it’s never worked for us in the past. This one popped up at a store and low and behold – I was sold!

The other art piece we took home from this antique store happened to be one of my favorites. Horse art. It’s not all horse art that I love, I’m quite picky, but I loved the silver frame and simple drawing. Horses make me feel peaceful and it’s just that simple. We should have things in our home that we love and bring us joy. No question.

I have been on a hunt for a footed vase/hurricane for months. I really wanted to thrift one and suddenly it was right there. Manifestation! I don’t think I’ll be able to use this as a hurricane since the bottom isn’t flat enough for a candle but goodness, she looks good filled with tulips. Love when the universe hands you what you need!
