fun finds – January

The theme of this month’s fun finds is – used. Some of my favorite days are the ones where I get to go thrifting/antiquing. I genuinely get a thrill from finding something I just HAVE to have, even if it means nothing to anyone else. Although we’re not at the decorating phase of working on our house yet, a girl can still shop.

Here’s what I’ve been finding:

I adore green glassware. I don’t think I need a reason – I just do! Love this set.

Very into celestial emblems lately. Moon!

I do want to find a way to incorporate iron into our home but I’d still like it to feel approachable and not too rustic. I love the elegance of this candle holder – it doesn’t feel too medieval which is refreshing!

Would love to see this in a kitchen. He just has the kindest face..

I’m very into dog shaped things lately. Maybe if I start bringing them into our house, my husband will be convinced we can get a second dog.

This is one of my favorite recent finds. I have a thing for vases and pitchers – especially if they have an Italian influence..

I had this in my cart for too long without pulling the trigger! Regrets.

A unique mirror ads SO much to an area or room. This one really caught my eye!

Art AND function! Most likely would just be art in our house.

I just scooped these up! I’m hoping the color and pattern will work well in our living room. The seller has SO many good things – would definitely recommend a browse.

This pillow is from the same seller as above – couldn’t help sharing. The colors are too good! AND FREE SHIPPING!

Did you say add another dog item? Pretty sure that’s what I heard.

I do tend to surprise myself when it comes to art. It’s the abstract pieces or the color combinations that pull me in more than anything.

Ending on a classy note!

Have a greeeeeeeeeat week 🙂

An overdue renovation update and a happy new year!

It’s been a teeny bit over two months since we closed on our house and since then we’ve done a lot of changes. I thought it necessary to document some of the progress that’s happened over here since we moved in a few weeks ago.

We bought a house!

There have been so many lessons along the way to get to where we are now but we finally OWN a house. First thing we did after we closed? Started ripping down cabinets and taking doors off hinges. I couldn’t wait a single second more to start making this place ours. It’s going to be…

dream-like wonder

If I say what’s happening out loud, it might jinx it. So I’ll leave it up to you to make assumptions about an exciting announcement happening shortly. Because of this ambiguous announcement, I’ve been diving back into inspiration after taking some time off of design content. I’ve been in a colorful/whimsy wormhole and I’m loving…
