Hawaii edit

Going to Hawaii in March! Here’s what’s on my list to shop for:

  • New bathing suit. I have a few from YouSwim but they’re a little thick and I want something that ties at the sides and is a little less bulky. I’ve purchased this one because I wanted something simple but I’m on the hunt for something with a little more color and pattern now.
  • Linen pants or shorts. I just purchased these because they seemed like a great versatile piece. I’m still looking for the right white linen pants! Need all the recommendations.
  • A better carry-on option. I’ve had my eye on this one. It’s really hard to find something that has the trolley sleeve, a laptop compartment, a zip top, and ISN’T a backpack. (fun fact: adults wearing backpacks gives me the ick). I really wanted one from Paravel but it doesn’t meet any of my criteria except that it’s cute AF.
  • New sunscreen. I’ve been trying more and more organic body/facial care products because I really want to move away from unnecessary chemicals. I use CapBeauty as a great resource and shop.
  • Summer sandals. Last summer I wore my birken-croc situation with everything and I need something a little more dressy. I’ve been looking at a chunkier flip flip situation like these.
  • Lastly, on the hunt for an easy breezy dress. Love this, this, this, aaaaaaand this as options.

I’m an avid over-packer so wish me luck!

fun finds – January

hrifting/antiquing. I genuinely get a thrill from finding something I just HAVE to have, even if it means nothing to anyone else. Although we’re not at the decorating phase of working on our house yet, a girl can still shop.

An overdue renovation update and a happy new year!

It’s been a teeny bit over two months since we closed on our house and since then we’ve done a lot of changes. I thought it necessary to document some of the progress that’s happened over here since we moved in a few weeks ago.

We bought a house!

There have been so many lessons along the way to get to where we are now but we finally OWN a house. First thing we did after we closed? Started ripping down cabinets and taking doors off hinges. I couldn’t wait a single second more to start making this place ours. It’s going to be…
